The ongoing saga of the bicycle inventory challenges for bike shops.
Container shipping of bicycles is still slow to the US.
Bicycle inventory is still at a historic low globally but may be getting slightly better. Containers are still bogged down at US ports and slow movement to logistic centers.
Elevate Cycles has seen more availability of inventory from our partner manufacturers which is great news for those looking for a bike. We would suggest not settling for whatever you may be able to pick up and waiting for the bike you want.
Below is a quick breakdown of wait times on companies.
Giant Bicycles - Some availability of certain models for current 2021 models (keep an eye on the giant-bicycle.com website and have shipped to us). Orders for 2022 products are being placed now.
Liv Cycling - Some availability of certain models for current 2021 models (keep an eye on the liv-cyclin.com website and have shipped to us). Orders for 2022 products are being placed now.
Transition Bikes - Inventory arriving as we type this. If interested, contact us immediately for your trail bike.
Lynskey - Made in the US titanium frames. Wait time on these complete bikes is around 5-7 weeks. Frame and fork shorter wait times.
Litespeed - Made in the US titanium frames. Wait time on these complete bikes is around 5-7 weeks. Frame and fork shorter wait times.
Quintana Roo - Good inventory levels with a 5-6 week wait time for a complete bike depending on the component spec.
Bombtrack - Good levels of certain gravel bikes available to ship.
Wilier Triestina - Low inventory with new models arriving. Inventory will be spotty.
Orbea - Elevate Cycles continues to be a click-and-ship destination for Orbea. Low levels of inventory.
